Tactile map and Braille order terms
Last updated: August 8, 2026. ART EKA creates custom accessibility materials. These terms supplement the ASLGames.ca terms and privacy policy.
Proof before production
Payment reserves design and production work. ART EKA confirms the route, accessibility requirements, output method and price, then supplies a proof. Physical production does not begin until the customer approves the proof and required route details are field verified.
Mobility safety
A tactile map or Braille description supplements, but does not replace, current official information, orientation-and-mobility judgment, emergency directions, traffic controls or personal assistance. Conditions can change. Unverified details are labelled and are not published as independent turn-by-turn guidance.
Braille and tactile review
Customer-ready output requires qualified Braille/tactile proofreading and physical usability review. ART EKA may use an approved specialist print partner. The partner receives only information required to produce and deliver the order.
Custom order changes and refunds
Contact ART EKA promptly if details are wrong. Before custom design work begins, a cancellation may be eligible for a refund less non-refundable payment processing costs where permitted. After a custom proof is approved or physical production begins, the custom portion is not refundable except for a production defect or failure to supply the ordered product. ART EKA will repair, replace or refund a confirmed defective order as appropriate.
Timelines and delivery
Displayed timelines are targets, not guaranteed delivery dates. Verification, customer proof approval, specialist availability, weather, postal service and material supply can affect timing. Tracking is supplied when available. Canada Post's Literature for the Blind program is used only when the shipment meets its current requirements.
Rights and map sources
The customer must have permission to supply route data. A Google Maps link may be used as a location reference, but ART EKA does not copy or redistribute proprietary map tiles. Production geometry must come from ART EKA field data, open data, customer-authorized data or separately licensed sources.
